I added a new name to the Puerto Rican report: right-handed reliever Edwin Quirarte. Too bad it’s the second to last report.

He was the Giants’ fifth round pick in the 2008 Draft…Johnny Monell went 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBIs December 18, then went 0-for-7 over the final two games of the week. Monell is hitting .184 since December 5…Cristian Otero did not play.
The lesser known winter leagues in Colombia and Nicaragua run into mid-January. After next week’s report I might just do a final wrap-up in January due to the very small amount of info I get from both these leagues.

He’s at 0-5 for the season…Wilber Bucardo’s record went to 4-2 after he lost a poor start, 2 2/3 innings with two strikeouts.
