I totally agree.  As I wrote on my blog on Friday, he has made significant strides in his contact rate in recent games.  I didn't have your pretty graphs, but what is evident in his 10-game, 15-game, and 20-game averages, that is not see-able over his seasonal rate, is that he made a great improvement in his contact rate (which is basically the inverse of his strikeout rate, but eliminates walks from the equation),  moving from the 60-70% range that he has been in for most of his career in the majors, up to the 80% range in the last 15-20 games or so.   That's a huge change forward for him, and if he can sustain that change, he could be our version of Joey Votto, good for average, walks, stolen bases, and HR power, as well as good defensively.
