Thanks Chris - this really sums up what I've felt about Matt Cain for a long time.  For I guess the last 3 years he's just a warm glass of milk before bedtime (although I don't actually do that).  Maybe he's like a really great brandy, vsop style - you always know what you're gonna get, it's totally smooth and if you fight against it he will knock you on your ass.  This was a pure treat for me, and I'll love this moment forever.  The excellent plays by Blanco and Cabrera and Arias to seal it are buttercream frosting on a very delicious cake..

Perfect post-- it really is hard to communicate to non-giants fans (or even some casual ones)  what Matt Cain is and what he means to the franchise. Now when I introduce him to new fans, the only question is whether I'll open with "2012 perfect game" or "2010 20+ shutout playoff innings"

I was so impressed with the Arias-Belt's play to finish the game. Arias' agility and Belt's long arms made perfection possible.
