1. This man is paid to swing a bat

That’s the Brewers’ Japanese import, Norichika Aoki, taking a healthy cut — if you can call spinning like a goof in a batter’s box a “cut” — against Matt Cain. And it’s not like Aoki is some slob that can’t hit. Nope, he came into tonight’s game hitting .284/.351/.403 this season for the Brewers. So I think we all know that the real thing that happened was Matt Cain. That’s one ugly swing.

2. This man is also paid to swing a bat

Tentatively titled: Rickie Weeks can’t catch a break. Weeks is really struggling right now — he was leading the National League in strikeouts coming into tonight’s game — and having to face Sergio Romo when you’re struggling that badly seems like it should violate several federal, state, and local laws.

3. Don’t run on Melky
