I have an idea....platoon Belt and Pill at first, Pablo at 3rd, Sanchez catching, Posey to 2nd base (middle infield All-American in college), keep outfield as is. Now you got AB's for all your young talent...get crawfords hole out of the lineup...allow posey to catch when sanchez needs a rest...can occasionally play belt in OF when needed. What's wrong with this?
@ExhortingOne Only a short term solution as Freddy Sanchez should be returning in a couple of weeks, then we'd be back to having Posey as practically the every day 1B. Since Burriss has seemingly earned his right to play, Theriot is probably on the DFA chopping block. That still leaves a crowded bench of 1Bs, but meh...
Well he always seems to hit it right at the opposing team's second baseman, so maybe this was just Bochy attempting some Twilight Zone-like irony.
