So... assuming the above lineup, this is (roughly) a slightly better than average offense? Really? Not that I'm complaining...

Am I some kind of idiot because I don't know what ZiPS means? Can someone explain please...

I actually don't know what the acronym stands for. The last two letters stand for "Projection System", I'm sure.

wilson hardly dominant? when he came back from his back at the end of the year he seemed great to me

K/9 dropped 2.5 last year and bb/9 rose 2. Both of those are bad. Also, it wasn't his back that put him on the shelf in Aug/Sept last year, it was his elbow. That's bad, too.

A 127 OPS+ for the Panda seems awfully low for him. Next season will be just his age 25 season so he should be getting better and better.

I love ZiPS for the league as a whole, but shouldn't we know theGiants players better than ZiPS? I mean come on, Romo's great, but 50% better than Wilson? We all know that number comes from how Bochy manages his pen. Garry Brown at 99? We're starting to get data, but I'd still take a scout's report over ZiPS. Unless you want to qualify that with 99+/- 20. And so on...

All projections are (or should be) qualified with a level of uncertainty/variance.

Top two comps for Pablo: Ryan Zimmerman and Adrian Beltre. Loved seeing that.

Man, Timmy, Matt and Madison have a collection of ugly comps. Joey Hamilton? Bllech!
