We have two replacement level hitters to complement the semiautomatic outs, now. Ryan Vogelsong is only the second or third worst hitter in this lineup (depending on what you think of Burriss).

The lineups are going to get even more interesting now that Sanchez is injured. Whose turn is it to bat 3rd?

Looks good to me. Wood is left-handed, Torres has one hit against lefties all year; Burrell is hitting well at AT&T. Burris has speed and can strretch a basehit into a double with a stolen base; Whiteside is tired from catching everyday; Tejada has been getting more hits lately and Crawford needs a break, especially against a lefy. This team doesn't have a lot of options at this point. Oh and fire Sabean..he's a moron!

Which is especially weird since Burrell has been a bench player for the last few weeks. Schulman tweeted earlier today that he was going to remain a bench player and then, BURRELL! LF!
