Any thoughts on why Posey's BB% as a pro has been so far below his minor league rate? Are the Giants coaches whispering in his ear about the importance of putting the ball in play?
Sandoval's and Torres's injuries are killers for this offense, at least while Buster isn't exactly burning it up at the plate and Huff is this terrible. Both Torres and Pablo are guys that can carry an offense for spells; Pablo by running out and hitting .400 w/ power for a week, and Torres with a flurry of XBH and walks...which allow him to use his skills as the only base-stealer on the roster that plays consistently.
It's going to be tough...or, it's going to be just like much of last year, where the pitching staff has to be crazy good for the Giants not to lose sight of the Rockies' taillights.
