It turns out, that after checking some of my numbers from the previous post, I had an error in my Excel sheet that was mucking things up. Here’s the revised numbers which — hopefully! — are correct now.
Feel free to go over my math in the comments if something looks wrong to you. wWAR = weighted WAR based on 5/4/3 weights.

A couple of things:
- Berkman and Lee look even better than before. Huff gets a nice bump to 2.9 wins. There is a huge wealth of league average talent this year at 1B.
- The shortstop group is still pretty bad, but depending on how teams view Tejada’s defense, he might be a not-so-terrible stopgap for a team like the Giants.
- Johnny Damon’s 3.1 wins is an increase of .5 wins over the previous post. I don’t know how healthy he is, but his defense in LF shouldn’t be too brutal if the Giants wanted to look at him as a fill-in. He has lost a lot of power since leaving Yankee Stadium, but he still posted a .340 wOBA last year with a .355 OBP.
- Jose Guillen is still bad.
