The worrisome part isn't just right now - it's if this will be a reoccurring theme. I hope this won't be a common thing, where he'll go through extended stretches where he loses his mechanics every season or so - his motion is one of the more complicated in baseball, probably. I'm not overly worried yet, but if he doesn't improve soon, I will be.

No. I think it is just the usual variation that all players exhibit. The Haft piece from yesterday on the website puts a positive spin on things. I've no reason--at this point--to doubt Lincecum's self-evaluation. You also have to figure the league is working to "catch up" to him, and that he'll have to keep adjusting to stay on top. He'll be fine.
