I'm sorry but posters on BCB always have to agree with whatever I say. It's in the guidelines.

Chris, I have no idea what net nanny is being used, it's a corporate thing. For months it would not work and so I just gave up. But then I accidentally clicked a link a few days ago and it started working - so who knows. Love the site, btw - even if I don't always agree. Gives me something else to read @ work ;)

Thanks, FWF. I have no idea why you can't access this site sometimes. Why are you using Net Nanny anyways? As far as I know, I've deleted all of those Kenshin jpegs off of my server.

Whew, you finally took down all that PRON. That dugout ripoff is awesome, btw.

Isn't Lincecum always in Strike Out Mode™ ? He does lead the NL in K's. It looked more likely to me that he was fatigued. Lincecum may have been "amped" up or something, but I think it's more plausible that after throwing the most pitches in the National League and being #5 in baseball for innings pitched, he's fatigued right now. His slight dip in velocity -- you could argue if it's significant or not -- and his loss of movement might be indicators.

Here is one factor that probably caused his poor start that hasn't been mentioned here: Krukow said this morning that Lincecum was going in strikeout mode last night and that affected his pitching overall because hitters could sit on his fastball. Also, I would add that throwing for strikeouts usually costs the pitcher some of his command, and the elevated level of walks indicate that as well. Thus I would attribute his poor start to his youthful misguided zeal for strikeouts more than anything else.

That was so therapeutic! The avatar thing was genius. Thanks Chris.
