I am not knocking Yabu. He is an example of just how fungible middle relievers are. This season he represents the “good” extreme. But I don’t think a single one of us believed he had a season like this in him back at the first of March. Thus the reference. In hind sight though Yabu has done nothing to be linked to Hennessey so should apologize for that.

@Dave

Hennessey wasn't even this season's Yabu. I think he could be non-tendered at the end of the season. He's earning $1.6M this year and he's 28-years-old. Not a whole bunch of upside with him.

And don't bad mouth my main man, Yabu! He's been OK and he could come back next year and fill the same-ish role. The bullpen has largely sucked but Yabu has been average-ish. Though, you could be right in that he might 'xplode next year.

@Wax

No lie, in the first week of playing with my Wii (lol boner joke lol) I tweaked something in my back.

/nerd shame

I'm hoping the PC is closer to 100 than 110.

Yeah, finish what you start! I'm tired of these namby-pamby "pitchers" wanting out after four innings so they can go roll around in their money. I always finish my grueling three-inning Wii baseball slugfests.

In reality, I say between 100 and 110 for Lincecum tonight.

Good point about Zito. I myself always get excited after he wins, but when you look back on it, those wins were against relatively poor offenses.

I am already down for a 150 pitch , 9 IP, 0 R no decision line in a 10 inning 1-0 Giants loss in yesterdays game thread. I see no reason to “flinch” from it now. Yesterday was really some of the poorest station to station ball as I’ve seen in a while. To wait for a homers you have to hit them. If you don’t him homers maybe you need to force 90 feet at a time out and several extra pitches of them?

I wonder if they are dreaming of Hennessey as next seasons Yabu. This staff really did feel it when Yabu was out. Not that he was great shakes but he was usually steady. And No I don’t think Yabu will be as good next season.

I'll go conservative, I'm thinking 173 pitches.

Finish what you start!
