I didn't get to watch the game cuz I was at band practice, but I was following it on the iphone and getting real-time updates from the wife via text msg. When she told me Big & Li'l Monies went back to back, I lost my mind. I was thrilled because:

A. It appeared to get Timmy off the hook of a tough-luck loss
2. I <3 Pablo

Then when I saw the final pitch count, I nearly crapped my pants. Maybe Lincecum's superior mechanics protect his shoulder and elbow more than your average, non-cyborg pitcher, but there is really. no. reason. to be taking these kinds of chances with your franchise guy. Bighead should never have let him go out in the 8th. He was already in line for the win, and I don't care if Felix Rodriguez is your only option out of the bullpen. You go to the 'pen rather than risk the future of the team.

Arrrgh.

He'll probably be OK, but ...

And, to stir the pot some, consider the rotation if Lincecum does get hurt:

Cain
Zito
Correia
Sanchez
Misch/Hennessey/Palmer/Lowry

The Giants rotation this year is good, but it's not as good as some like to believe. Zito will most likely continue to struggle and could decline even more. You can't replace a Tim Lincecum and it really, reaaaallly hurts when you have to replace him with Pat Misch, Brad Hennessey, or Noah Lowry (who I doubt will make 12 starts for us next year)

Timmy is a badass and I just hope he stays healthy.

Also, the highlight for me last night was watching Pablo jack that tater into LF . Watching him running around the bases and going back into the dugout to get mobbed was AWESOME.
