Listening to KNBR and they’ve just reported that Lincecum was taken out of his hotel room earlier in the day on a stretcher with flu-like symptoms. The radio doesn’t really have much information right now, but reportedly, Lincecum is having some sort of illness that’s related to dehydration.
I’ll be sure to post more as I hear it, but information is a little scarce right now. Lincecum may or may not have participated in the red carpet walk that all the players partake in during All-Star festivities.

Update
Lincecum is out of the game and Andrew Baggarly sheds some light on his blog:
Giants right-hander Tim Lincecum was hospitalized with flu symptoms and will not make it at Yankee Stadium for the All-Star Game tonight, multiple sources told the Mercury News.
Lincecum began feeling ill Monday night and did not ride along with teammate Brian Wilson in an All-Star motorcade Tuesday morning. He was released from the hospital after receiving fluids, sources said.
There were rumors that Lincecum was taken from his Midtown hotel room on a stretcher, but Wilson doubted that was true.
āIām pretty sure I would have heard about that,āā Wilson said.
It’s a shame that Lincecum got ill. I believe Omar was sick during the Chicago series and I’m guessing that Lincecum picked up the same bug. I’m sure he’s disappointed that he won’t get into his first All-Star Game but I’m guessing this won’t be his last.
Get well soon, Tim!
“Dehydration”? “Flu-like symptoms”?
I prefer “shithoused” and “hungover”.
Tim only drinks root beer!
