I’m torn about Pablo’s promotion in a number of ways. It woulda been nice to let him play in the A+ all-star game, i think, but I’m sure he’d rather have the promotion. Also sad i won’t be able to watch him in San Jo anymore. Just gonna have to wait til he makes it to Fresno, I guess. OTOH, I’m happy they’re taking it slow-ish with him. Just because the org is shallow at catcher is no reason to rush him thru the system.

Not really saying that I specifically saw any half-truths in this interview, but that interviews in general always toe the line between information and I don’t want to say lies, but maybe the company line?

Yeah, I think with Rodriguez it’s that they don’t want to violate the processes (even if they’ve already gotten something worked out).

I’m not sure if I’ve seen a Giants official speak on Sandoval to AAA but I believe I’ve seen Schulman (maybe Baggarly? can’t remember) speak that they’ve heard “rumblings” from the Giants FO that he would be moved in that manner.

I’m not sold on Burriss but he definitely needs to get 75% of the playing time at SS right now. If he can even hit barely enough, I think he’ll be our SS next year.

What are the half-truths as you saw them?

I’ll take Sabean’s comment to mean that Posey wants to sign and play.

About Rodriguez, the Giants have to play it coy, one to show that they are following the process the way it is suppose to go regarding negotiating with these types of free agents, two, so that other teams don’t know what they are bidding against.

Don’t know about the Sandoval to AAA call, I’ve seen that all over Giants chat rooms, but I don’t recall a Giants official saying that. Do you recall?

Nice to hear about Vizquel, but this is just a continuation of what they did last season when Durham was scuffling and Frandsen was given a chance to show what he could do as a starter, same for Ortmeier, when Klesko flamed out.
