I thought it was interesting to see a quote from Sabean saying that he, essentially, wouldn’t be opposed to give Posey a MLB deal that would stick him on the 40-man as soon as he signs. I also liked that it seems the Giants were truthful with us when they said they were going to put more emphasis on position players. When I heard Gerald, my mind flashed to Gordon Beckham and I was totally steammed for a second or two until "Posey" registered in my mind. Great draft overall, I think. I think Posey is going to sign for between $4-6M, Weiters got what Boras leveraged for him, I think he'll be closer to slot (which I'm not sure of off hand, but think it's in this range) I really hope he signs fast though and get significant playing time, the sooner the better.
