Dear Keenlow,

You are dead wrong about Soriano. In 78 games at home (one of the toughest parks in the game) he hit 24 homers!!! Aside from "home"run hitting he hit 22 dingers in 81 away games-- perhaps a career year if he stays in the National League...
If Mr. Soriano goes back to the American league he most definitely will be in the 50 plus homer club next year.

Quite frankly I would rather have Soriano make 20 errors and knock the cover off the ball than pay for Ray Ray's aging talent and old tired legs. Soriano is fast and mediocre with a glove, but unmatched in quickness and strength behind the plate. The Giants overpay for TIRED talent, such as Randy Wynn, Matt Morris and soon to be Pedro Feliz (at which point my wrists will be bleeding), but refuse to pull the trigger when it comes to real talent-- this also applies to the way the Giants rarely give their young talent a shot.

Bottom Line: The Giants would greatly improve if they could pick up Soriano.

Oh yeah...if the Giants pick up Zito instead of trying to get Schmidt I might do something drastic like become a Minnesota Twins Fan!
